Chris believes that skill sharing connects us to our environment and to each other.  Each of us can pursue our crafts and interests and through open communication and practicing interdependence, we can knit a resilient community.

After studying Anthropology and Human Development at UCLA, Chris began her building career in the exhibit workshops of the Smithsonian. Wanting to shift preservation focus from artifacts to relationships and ecologies, she became an intern at Yestermorrow where she earned her Sustainable Design Certificate. Chris moved to Seattle and became a residential design/build remodeler. In her years in Seattle, she has worked in cabinet shops, on remodels from foundation through finish, and managed projects as well as several build teams.
